Paul Ackles

Paul Eugene Ackles, 89, passed away Wednesday, November 7, 2018 at The Commons on Saint Anthony, Auburn, NY. Paul was born January 4, 1929 and lived most of his life in Rose Hill. He was in a dairy farm and apple orchard partnership with his father, Homer and uncle, Hoyt. Paul moved to South Carolina in the late 1990’s after the death of his wife Barbara. A few years later he moved back to the Amber/ Marcellus areas. Paul is survived by his brother, Ronald (Carol) Ackles, of Rose Hill and a sister-in-law, Mary Miller of Marcellus. He is also survived by his three daughters, Beth (William) Bennett, Susan (Ronald) Carr and Cynthia (Michael) Spann. Also included in the extended family are many grandchildren, nieces, nephews and great grandchildren. Paul was a loving husband, father, uncle, grandfather and friend to all. Funeral services will be 1 p.m., on Saturday November 17 at Plis Funeral Home, 33 North St., Marcellus. Calling hours will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. prior to the service. Paul will be laid to rest at the Highland Cemetery, Marcellus immediately following the services.
