Myra Jean Hopkins 79, of Marion, passed away December 22, 2015, at Perry County Nursing Home. Services will be held 12 p.m. Sat. December 26, 2015, from Ephesus Baptist Church with Rev. John Nicholson and Joseph Horton officiating and Kirk Funeral Homes Marion Chapel directing. Burial will follow in Pine Crest Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held 30 minutes prior to the service.

Mrs. Hopkins was born June 6, 1936, in Uniontown, Al.

She is preceded by her parents, William E. and Wilma Caldwell Osburn; husband, Richard Burton Hopkins; sister, Helen Claire Van Fleet.

Mrs. Hopkins is survived by her daughter, Mary Claire Crawford; grandchildren, Richard Morgan Crawford and Rebecca Myranna Crawford; special nephew, Homer Lee Van Fleet.

Pallbearers will be Hugh Lee Sanders, Tommy Painter, Stacey DeVours, Art Nichols, Dudley Barton and Joseph Horton.

Honorary pallbearers will be Arnold Hughey, Larry Huey, Ellis Edwards, A.J. Hamm, Norman Williams, Brad Martin, James Thompson, Dr. William Shane Lee and Chip Spencer.
