<p>Karen Glinsek Davis.</p><p>Karen was born on October 17, 1948 to James E. and Edith A. Mehen in Kenmore, Ohio. On December 11, 2015 the heavenly Irish angels carried her into the waiting arms of her father and mother, James and Edith, brothers, James, William and Mark, sister Loretta (Kitty) Ludwig and step-son, David Glinsek.</p><p>Karen is survived by her loving husband Greg Davis, who watched over and took gentle care of her through ten plus years of lung cancer. Greg was her best friend, constant companion and loving caretaker during the many years of illness and was at her side right up to the end. Karen is also survived by the greatest joy of her life, her children, Rebecca Glinsek, Kelli Glinsek Gaum, Daniel Glinsek, and their father and her lifetime friend Gerald Glinsek; sisters, Rebecca Lecky Hatala (Edward) and Patricia Oddo, brother-in-law, Leonard Ludwig; grandchildren, Ethan and Sophie, plus all of her special nieces and nephew and many loving friends.</p><p>Karen was the owner and operator of Cavanaugh’s Pub on N. Main Street in downtown Akron. She made the most beautify handmade quilts for her family and friends and placed a green shamrock on the corner of each as her signature. Karen had a heart of gold and was always there to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. She was a great defender of the underprivileged.</p><p>To know Karen was to love her. Our lives will be forever touched by her unconditional love and affection. That love will live within our hearts all of the days of our lives and sustain us during our time of sadness. Rest in peace our precious angel.</p><p>Calling hours will be on Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Dunn-Quigley Funeral Home (811 Grant St.). Mass of Christian Burial will be on Friday at 12 Noon at Immaculate Conception Church, 2101 17th St. SW, in Kenmore (PLEASE MEET AT THE CHURCH). In lieu of flowers, please make memorial donations to Immaculate Conception Church for their food pantry.</p><p><br></p>
