Richard H. Heald

Bangor- Richard H. Heald, 71, a resident of Fayette, passed away Thursday, November 12th at Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor. He was born June 12, 1944, in North Anson, the son of Harold Heald and Helen (Oliver) Heald. He graduated from North Anson Academy, where he proudly played on an undefeated basketball team. He later attended Thomas College where he also played basketball. He has spent the past 25 years with his partner, Jessie Wyman. Dick worked as a Millwright in the Woodroom Department for International Paper, retiring in 2003. He was a member of the International Paper Company Quarter-Century Club, and Executive Vice President of the Local 14 Papermakers Union. Dick was a former member of Maple Lane Golf Club and Maple Lane Men’s Golf League and was a member of the Wednesday Travel League. He is survived by his partner, Jessie Wyman of Fayette, one son, Dick Oliver and his partner Chiara Bubin of Acton, Massachusetts, granddaughters; Erica and Ona Oliver of Acton, Massachusetts, one sister, Dawna Johnson and her husband Lloyd of Skowhegan, one brother, Nathan Oliver of Orlando, Florida, step children; Nicole Wyman of Skowhegan, Mike and Alicia Wyman of Jay and step grandchildren, Isiah and Ethan Wyman.
