Funeral services for Mr. Huey Pierce Ellis of Monroe will be at 11:00am on Saturday, December 12, 2015 at the Griffin Funeral Home Chapel in Monroe, La. with Bro. Richard Byrd, officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Cemetery in Calhoun, La. Arrangements are under the direction of Griffin Funeral Home of Monroe.

Mr. Ellis was born to the union of Frank and Bertie Ellis on September 24, 1931 in St. Joseph, La. and passed from this earth on December 10, 2015.

Mr. Ellis is preceded in death by his father, Frank Ellis; mother, Bertie Forbes Ellis; 8 brothers; 2 sisters and his first wife Leona Ellis.

He is survived by his wife, Leota Ellis; two sons, Johnny Ellis and wife Pat of West Monroe, Mike Ellis and wife Cindy of Delhi; daughter, Lee Duke and husband Danny of West Monroe; grandchildren, Jason, Chris, Jessica, Tony, Kendra, Henry, Felicia and Travis Ellis, Danny Duke IV, Blake Peters, Jared and Landon Duncan, Joshua Moffett and Jessica Edwards; numerous great-grandchildren, nieces & nephews.

Pallbearers, Ray Pierce, Ronnie Hearne, Gary Schumate, Jason Ellis, Chris Ellis and Randy Ellis. Honorary pallbearers, Clint Nall and Roy Sisson.

Visitation will be held Friday, December 11, 2015 from 5pm until 8pm at Griffin Funeral Home in Monroe.
