Jack Thomas Kelly, 88, of Berea passed away Saturday February 14, 2015. Jack was born in Madison County to the late Marvin and Verna Flannery Kelly. He was a member, Deacon and Elder Emeritus of the Mt. Zion Christian Church in Richmond, where he took pride as being the oldest living member. He worked for many years at the Berea College Bookstore from where he retired. After retirement he along with his wife owned and operated NuWay Cleaners for many years. He enjoyed gardening and sharing the fruits of his labor. He and his wife loved traveling. He also enjoyed watching his grandchildren participate in various sporting events. He was a WWII U.S. Navy veteran and a member for over 65 years of the Kingston Masonic Lodge #315 F&AM. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife Mary Berta Kelly and one brother Ben E. Kelly. He is survived by his daughter Linda Kelly Taylor (Gary), step children Sharon Miracle Turley (Roy), Glen Miracle (Kenan) and Darrell Miracle (Shelley), one granddaughter Kelly Taylor Staggs (Brandon), step grandchildren Stacie Turley Carrington (Wes), Steven Turley (Jennifer), Brett Miracle and Dylan Miracle, and 5 step great grandchildren. He also leaves behind a brother Baxter Kelly (Kyleen). Funeral services will be at 1 pm Friday February 20, 2015 at Lakes Funeral Home with Rev. J Randolph Osborne and Rev. Maria Oliver officiating. Burial will be in the Madison County Memorial Gardens. Honorary pallbearers will be Mark Kelly and members of the Mt. Zion Christian Church. Visitation will be Friday from 11:00 am until time of service at Lakes Funeral Home. In memory of Jack contributions can be made to Mt.
