It is with great sadness that the family announces the sudden passing of Diane Marie Kauk (nee Regan) at the Brantford General Hospital on Thursday, November 12, 2015, with family at her side, at the age of 64. Diane leaves behind her husband of 40 years, Michael, her beloved daughter Christine (Daniel McEwen), her brother Daniel Regan (Elaine) of London, her sister Janice Young (Randy) of Waterdown, and many cousins, nieces and nephews. Diane is a graduate of the University of Waterloo (BA), University of Toronto (B.Ed) and Brock University (M.Ed), and was a wonderful and caring kindergarten teacher for many years at Echo Place School in Brantford. Diane also gave selflessly of herself to many charities and organizations in the community, primarily to help others. Diane loved nature and spending time at the cottage up north with family and friends and travelling to new destinations whenever possible. A memorial gathering celebrating Diane's life will take place on Sunday, November 15, 2015 in the Charing Cross Reception Suites, adjacent to the DENNIS TOLL FUNERAL HOME, 55 Charing Cross Street, Brantford from 1-4 p.m. As per Diane's request, cremation has already taken place. Donations to Crohn’s and Colitis Canada in memory of Diane would be appreciated.
