Madeline Louden age 98, passed away December 10, 2015, with her family at her bedside. Madeline was born January 25, 1917, in Plainwell, the daughter of William and Gertrude (Engles) Cahill. On May 15, 1933, Madeline married the love of her life, Ryerson Louden, and he preceded her in death on October 13, 2005, having celebrated seventy two years of marriage. Madeline is survived by sons: William Louden, Tim (Dorothy) Louden and Dennis (Lois) Louden, daughters: Zelma Armintrout, and Mary (Edward) Finn, twelve grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, eleven great great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Madeline was also preceded in death by her parents and sons: Tony and James, a son in law: Orin “Pat” Armintrout, a daughter in law: Florence Louden, brothers: Bill and Lester Cahill and a sister: Margaret Roberts, a grandson, and two great grandchildren. Madeline and Ryerson were one of the seventeen families that founded Saint Ambrose Parish in Delton, and Madeline was a member of the Saint Ambrose Altar Society. Madeline was also a member of the Inter-Lakes Garden club, the Bernard Museum, and Blue-Star Mothers. A Grand Marshall of the 2003 Delton Founders Day, Madeline enjoyed baking, her flowers and reading to the preschool children at the library. Madeline’s family will receive friends, Monday, 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 PM, with a Scripture Service at 7:00 PM, at the Williams-Gores Funeral Home, Delton. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated, Tuesday, December 15, 2015, 11:00 AM at St. Ambrose Catholic Church, Delton, Rev. Fr. Matthew Manalel, celebrant. Burial will take place in Pennock Cemetery. Memorial contributions to Hospice of Southwest Michigan or Saint Ambrose Catholic Church will be appreciated.
