MILLIS: Consuelo L. Smith died Monday, September 28, 2015 at Boston Medical Center Surrounded by her loving family. Connie was 86. Born in Dedham Connie was the daughter of the late Francisco “Frank” and Margaret (Perry) Miret. The family moved to Millis where she was raised and educated. Connie was employed by Herman Shoe Company and Training House as an Administrative Assistant where she retired in 1995. Connie was a member of St. Thomas Church and the Millis Council on Aging. Some of her favorite activities were playing cards, going out to dinner, playing the Lottery and watching the Patriots and Red Sox. She enjoyed listening to Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett, Herb Alpert and 40’s and 50’s big band era music. Connie was happiest when she was playing sports with or just throwing the ball to her children and grandchildren. Most people would describe Connie as a friendly, sincere and loving mother, grandmother and friend that would always welcome and embrace you. Connie was predeceased by her husband of 34 years Thomas F. Smith. She was the loving mother of Thomas F. Smith, Jr. and his wife Irene of NH, Daniel B. Smith and his wife Natalie of Sandwich, Darrell M. Smith of VT and Suzanne M. Walsh of South Boston. She was the cherished sister of William Miret. Connie is also survived by grandchildren Melissa, Chad, Meghan, Ashley and great grandchildren Alexa and Brandon. A Mass of Christian Burial was held on October 5th at St. Thomas Church with a burial that followed at Prospect Hill Cemetery, Millis. Visitation was Sunday at the Roberts-Mitchell Funeral Home in Millis.
