Janice Grace Friend, 84 of Florida, passed away November 11, 2018 and has gone on to her Heavenly home. Janice was preceded in death by her husband Allen Hovey Friend and her son Scott Allen Friend. She is survived by her daughters Pamela Jan Stone East, Debra Mae Jacobs and daughter in law Debbie Friend;son Kent Thomas Friend; grandchildren include Kevin Jacobs, Kristen (Caleb) Turner, Alanna (Doug) Boetker, Kristina (BJ) Barrass, Ryan (Courtney) Silvestro, Sierra Friend, Amber Friend, Deanna (Aaron) Martin; Great grandchildren include Kaylee, Arabella, Hunter, Isabella, Connor, McKenzie, Johnathan, Thomas, Taylor, Kylie and Aurora; her dog Cassy, her beloved and longtime companion, whom she loved dearly. Janice retired as a secretary for Prince George's County, Maryland school system in 1993. Her life revolved around her family whom she deeply loved. Services will be at Clark Legacy Center in Brannon Crossing, Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at 1:00 PM with a reception from 12:00-1:00. A funeral service will follow at 2:30 at Camp Nelson. The family has requested contributions be made in her memory to the National Humane Society of America.
