Bernice Wolfe, age 92, passed away on Wednesday, October 31, 2018 at her home in Lupton, MI. She had lived in Lupton since 1998, formerly of St. Helen. Bernice was born on February 2, 1926 in Allen County, IN to David and Dolly (Heatherly) Bridges. She married Roy Wolfe in Fort Wayne, IN on December 28, 1946. Bernice was a member of the West Branch Church of Nazarene and a proud wife of a minister. She enjoyed jigsaw puzzles, dolls, painting ceramics, and tending to the flowers in her garden. Bernice is survived by her loving husband of 71 years, Roy Wolfe; children, David (Carolyn) Wolfe, Dianne (Jon) Reece and Deborah (Robin) Charles; grandchildren, Angela (Craig) Pullen, Stephen Wolfe, Robin (Jacob) Cooper, Tammy (Ryan) Redwine, Carrie (Tracey) Colson, Joe (Reece) Mellie, Shelly (Gene) Lucas, Anne (Eddie) Newell, and David (Carrie) Moody; 22 great grandchildren, 9 great great grandchildren; sisters, Marjorie Frain and Evangeline Ammerman; and daughter in law, Rita Wolfe. She is preceded in death by her parents, son, Daniel S. Wolfe; grandchildren, Lena Wolfe, Erica Wolfe, Daniel Wolfe; and siblings, David Bridges and Joanne Bridges. Visitation at Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch will begin on Monday, November 5, 2018 at 12:00 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 2:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in St. Helen.
