Mr. William Leon "Bill" Gregory, Jr.

Mr. William Leon “Bill” Gregory Jr., 85, of Warrenville, SC, beloved husband of twenty-three years to Mrs. Mary McDaniel Williams Gregory, entered rest on Saturday, October 20, 2018. A lifelong area resident, he was a son of the late William Leon, Sr. and Mable Kirkland Gregory. A Korean War Veteran, he proudly and with honor served his country in the United States Navy. He was the former owner and operator of Gregory’s TV. Mr. Gregory was a very active member of Mid-Valley Baptist Church, where he formerly served as Music Director. He enjoyed singing, going to the Waffle House and of course fishing, Not morning fishing…….evening fishing. In addition to his wife and parents, family members include his first wife, the late Marie Benson Gregory, children and their spouses, William Leon, III and Linda Gregory, Statesville, NC, Robert and Dianne Gregory, Warrenville, SC, Keith and Johnna Gregory, Warrenville, SC, Lisa Gregory McKevett and her husband, Tim, Beloit, WI, the late Vicki Gregory Welch and the late Gary and Peggy Gregory, Warrenville, SC; step-children and their spouses, Robin and Greg Wainwright, Savannah, GA, Jeffrey and Pamela Williams, Warrenville, SC, Shawn and Kim Williams, Warrenville, SC and the late Van Williams, siblings, Peggy Aaron, Aiken, SC, Brenda Russ, Wilmington, NC, the late Jeanette Babbs, the late Joyce Turner and the late Betty Murray, twenty-nine grandchildren and forty-three great-grandchildren. The family will greet friends on Tuesday, October 23, 2018, from 5 until 7 o’clock at Hatcher Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 3464 Jefferson Davis Highway, Graniteville, SC. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Wednesday, October 24, 2018, at 11 o’clock at Mid-Valley Baptist Church, Graniteville, SC. Pastor Stan Adams will officiate. Mr. Gregory will be placed in the church at 10 o’clock on Wednesday. Interment with Veterans Honors accorded by a United States Navy Honor Guard, will follow in Aiken Memorial Gardens, Aiken, SC. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. If so desired, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. (<a href="http://www.stjude.org/">www.stjude.org</a>) Graniteville, South Carolina
