Lorraine R. Kosloski

Lorraine R. Kosloski, 96, Junction City, passed away peacefully on October 20, 2018. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am on Tuesday, October 23, 2018 at St. Michael’s Catholic Church, Junction City, with Rev. John Ofori-Domah officiating. Burial will take place in the parish cemetery and grandsons will serve as pallbearers. The visitation will be from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Monday, October 22 at Martens / Rembs Funeral Home, Junction City, and from 9:30 am on Tuesday morning until service time at St. Michael’s Catholic Church. Lorraine was born on October 11, 1922, the youngest of 11 children, to Peter and Anastasia (Derezinski) Feltz, on the Feltz family farm in Portage County. She graduated from P.J. Jacobs High School, Stevens Point. She was united in marriage to Donald V. Kosloski on June 19, 1948 at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, Stevens Point. He died on January 14, 1986. Lorraine lived a life of love and caring for family and church. She was a trained beautician and Saturday mornings at her house were filled setting hair for many of the neighbor ladies. Her bakery skills and cookie trays were famous. She was well-known for her many years as a lunch lady at the JFK school in Junction City. Knick-named “Aunt Babe” by her nieces and nephews, she cared for many of her eight sisters through their final years. She was an active member in the Altar Society at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Junction City, and at age 90, she retired from many decades as Church Sacristan. Lorraine loved gardening of all kinds and maintained a large flower garden until her recent illness. Lorraine is survived by a daughter and two sons, Kenneth (Charlotte) Kosloski of Plover, Margaret (Gerard) Lisi of Rice Lake, and Michael (Peggy) Kosloski of Junction City. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren and twenty-six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a daughter, Donna Marie, two brothers and eight sisters. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be designated to St. Michael’s Catholic Church. Condolences may be sent online to www.rembsfh.com
