Arlene (Dickson) Apelian 97 died peacefully on Saturday, October 20, 2018 at her Clifton residence. Born in Bronx, NY, she was a lifelong Clifton resident. Arlene was a homemaker and a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She is a member of St. Peter's Episcopal Church in Clifton where she served on the Altar Guild. Arlene is predeceased by her husband of 65 years, Alfred, and by a son, Dennis. She is survived by a son, David and wife, Beverly, by a daughter in law, Gail, by four grandchildren, Sandra Gallo and husband, Gregory, Jennifer Sciacca and husband, Michael, Christine Lynam and husband, Michael and Allan Apelian, by nine great grandchildren, Amanda, Emily and Cecilia Gallo, Julianna, Larissa and Makayla Sciacca, Addison, Matthew and Caitlin Lynam. Funeral services will begin 10AM Wednesday at Allwood Funeral Home, 660 Allwood Road, Clifton, NJ with a 11AM Service at St. Peter's Episcopal Church. Burial will follow at East Ridgelawn Cemetery. Visiting hours are Tuesday 4-7PM. In lieu of flowers please contribute to the Memorial Fund of St. Peter's Episcopal Church or St. Peter's Haven.
