Walter Hersholt Johnson

Walter Hersholt Johnson, 81, of Quincy, FL went home to be with the Lord, Saturday, October 20, 2018. Hersholt was born in Quincy to P.M. & Anna Johnson on November 5, 1936. He was retired from Quincy State Bank, and was a member of First Baptist Church. Born and raised in Quincy, he was an avid hunter and fisherman. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Frances Johnson, also of Quincy; twin daughters, Donna Lynn Chason (Jack) and Linda Dianne Dearduff (Rob), Tallahassee; granddaughters, Courtney Lynn Chason, Tallahassee, and Laura Michelle Hipps, Delray Beach; sister, Carolyn Jean Fiorica (Tony), New Smyrna Beach; and brother, Robert Byron Johnson (Janet), Limestone, TN, a nephew, Jonathan Johnson, and a niece, Lora Reaves. Visitation will take place at 10:00 am on Tuesday, October 23 at First Baptist Church Chapel of Quincy with a service to follow at 11:00 am. Memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church, 210 West Washington Street, Quincy, FL 32351. Charles McClellan Funeral Home, Quincy, FL., 850-627-7677, is in charge of arrangements.
