Mary Elois Crittenden of Athens passed away Saturday, September 29th, 2018 at her daughter’s residence. She was retired from South Central Bell of over 38 years of service. She was a loving and caring “granny” to her family and friends who loved her flowers, baking and cooking. Honoring Mrs. Crittenden’s request, there will be no service at this time. A private burial will take place at Corum Cemetery. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ural & Sis Garner and husband, Charles Emmitt Crittenden. She is survived by her daughter, Debbie Bailey (Mark) Carroll; grandson, Jeremy (Elizabeth) Bailey; great-granddaughters, Mary Katherine, Josephine and Emma; sister, Mildred Harrison; niece, Tammy (Chad) Bowling; nephew, Tim Harrison; great-niece, Jordan (Phillip) Terry; great-nephew, Jacob Crumpton; great-great nephews, Landon and Levi; numerous “bestest” cousins; brother-in-law, George Crittenden; sisters-in-law, B.G. Crittenden and Patsy (Roderick) Stedman; honorary son, Ricky Bailey and honorary daughter, Mae McMasters.
