Steve Massey, 68, of Lawrenceburg, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, March 11, 2017. He was born June 5, 1948 in Dayton, Kentucky, son of the late Ernest and Elsie (Fields) Massey. Steve was a Army Vietnam veteran. He was a Bronze Star and Purple Heart recipient. He was a member of the American Legion Post #239; he was a deer hunter, avid griller, enjoyed cutting grass, loved his dogs and loved being grandpa. He worked as a machinist at Carr Tool. He is survived by his loving wife, Bev Massey of Lawrenceburg, IN; 2 sons, Brian (Sarah) Massey of Batesville, IN, Brad (Stephanie) Massey of Lawrenceburg, IN; and his 2 grandchildren, Emily Massey, Sydney Massey. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Elsie Massey; and his sister, Adella Massey. Family and friends will be received on Tuesday, March 14, 2017 from 5 pm to 8 pm at Fitch-Denney Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at Fitch-Denney Funeral Home, Wednesday, March 15, 2017 at 11 am, with Lanny Wyatt and Pastor Matt Voyer officiating. Interment will follow in the St. John's Lutheran Church Cemetery, Lawrenceburg, Indiana.
