Alfred Marvin Garrison Obituary

Alfred Marvin Garrison, age 80 of Winchester, passed away on Monday, June 18, 2018 at Southern Tennessee Regional Health Systems. A native of Franklin County, he was born on May 9, 1938 in Decherd to the late Hoyt and Mary Elizabeth (Wiseman) Garrison. Before his retirement, Alfred Marvin had been employed as a butcher for Collin's Grocery in Decherd and at the Franklin County Courthouse. He enjoyed working word search and puzzles. Alfred Marvin's family will remember him as a loving husband, father, and grandfather that you could always talk to. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his siblings, Melvin, Elizabeth, Carolyn, and Clyde. Alfred Marvin is survived by his loving wife of fifty-five years, Louise Garrison of Winchester; children, Tim Garrison of Winchester, Terry (Jada) Garrison of Decherd, Tonya (Scott) Walker of Decherd, and Steve (Beth) Garrison of Winchester; sixteen grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
