On Friday, April 15, 2016, Frank W. Zajko, 92, a longtime New Britain resident, entered into eternal life at John Dempsey Hospital. Born in Newington on December 11, 1923, he was the son of the late Paul & Pauline (Klinek). He was a WWII veteran of the United States Navy where he served as a Seabee. Prior to retirement, he was a foreman with General Motors for many years. He was predeceased by his beloved wife Sophie (Zyskowski) Zajko, a son Russell Zajko, and his siblings; Stella Kozakiewicz, Paul, Stephen, & Mary Zajko. Left to cherish his memory are two sons, Kenneth Zajko of Ft. Meyers, FL & David Zajko of New Britain, and 9 grandchildren. A service of remembrance will be held on Saturday, April 23 at 12:00 PM at Duksa Family Funeral Homes at Burritt Hill, 332 Burritt St, New Britain, CT 06053, with interment following at Sacred Heart Cemetery. Relatives and friends may visit an hour before the service on Saturday from 11:00 until 12:00 pm at Burritt Hill.
