Dianne Fritz Hagelstein

Dianne Fritz Hagelstein, age 65, a resident of Bruce and Washington Townships for many years, passed away on Tuesday, June 19, 2018 at Beaumont Hospital in Troy, Michigan. Dianne was born February 12, 1953, in Detroit, the daughter of William and Agatha (Olszewski) Bowl.  She married Steven H. Fritz Sr. on May 31, 1976 and he preceded her on October 1, 1997.  Dianne then married Richard A. Hagelstein on June 17, 2000.   Dianne was a member at Grace Lutheran Fellowship of Bruce Township.  Previously, she was a Stephen Minister and Lutheran Women’s Missionary League member at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Washington Township.  She was well known as “Granny”, taking care of many children over the years.  She liked to play many types of games especially cards, and dice games with others.  Her hobbies included tole painting, crocheting and other crafts.  Dianne especially loved being with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Dianne is survived by her husband Richard, children: Rebecca (Carl) Schulz of Perrysburg, Ohio, Andrew (Annie) Fritz of Troy, Steven (Suzanne) Fritz Jr., of Ray Township, Lana (Jeff) Quigley of Allenton, Jonathan Hagelstein of Chesterfield Twp., and Michael (Elizabeth) Hagelstein of New Baltimore.  She is also survived by her mother Agatha Bowl of Washington Twp., and grandchildren:  Steven III (Jessica) Fritz and their daughter Ireland, Rachelle Fritz and her son Christian, Trebor Alexander, Carl and Lucas Schulz, Jack and Joseph Fritz; in addition siblings:  Valerie (Steven) Thomas of Washington Twp., Susan (Robert) Schmidt of Eastpointe, William (Dawn) Bowl of Warren, James Bowl of Eastpointe and David Bowl of Washington Twp.; she was predeceased by sister Debbie Kotcher of Detroit. and father William Bowl. Visitation will take place on Tuesday June 26, 2018 from 1-8 PM at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home, Romeo Michigan. Funeral services will take place on Wednesday June 27, 2018 beginning 10 AM at Grace Lutheran Fellowship Church in Bruce Township with Pastor Eric Majeski officiating.  Private burial will follow in the Romeo Cemetery.
