<p>Richard Arlen Wolfe, 88, of Asheville, NC died on March 27, 2024. “Dick” was born on March 10, 1936 in Pulaski, Virginia. </p><p><br></p><p>Dick graduated from Emmanuel College (Franklin Springs, GA) in 1955. He served in the United States Air Force from 1955-1959. His working career included Data Processing services at First Citizens Bank and Pan American Bank in Orlando, FL; Banking Software sales at Kirchman Corporation in Altamonte Springs, FL; and Property Manager at Scenic Wolf Resort in Mars Hill, NC. </p><p><br></p><p>He was preceded in death by his wife, Vesta Joyce Wolfe, Mars Hill, NC; father, Steine Wolfe, and mother, Katherine Wolfe, Pulaski VA; son, Ron Wolfe, Melbourne, FL; and brother, Bobby Wolfe, Pulaski, VA. </p><p><br></p><p>He is survived by his son, Rick Wolfe (Amy), Marshall, NC; daughter-in-law, Debbie Wolfe, Melbourne, FL; sister Joyce Ayers, Bethany, OK; grandchildren, Kendra Kelly (Patrick), Burnsville, NC; Diana Brown (Dan), Kansas City, KS; Nicole Wolfe, Marshall, NC; Austin Wolfe, Key West, FL; and Cameron Wolfe, Melbourne, FL; great-grandchildren, Aiden Kelly, Burnsville, NC; Bazalel Brown, Kansas City, KS; Harper Kelly, Burnsville, NC; and Boaz Brown, Kansas City, KS. </p><p><br></p><p>Dick’s hobbies included fishing, boating, waterskiing, scuba diving, and softball. He also enjoyed woodworking, canning, building outdoor furniture with landscape timber, and hosting holidays and gatherings with family and friends at his beautiful cabin in the mountains. Over the years, Dick served as Youth Director, Youth Sunday School teacher, Sunday School Director, Usher, Deacon, Home Group Leader, Elder, Finance Team Member and Church Administrator. He attended Gateway Church (Woodfin, NC). He was a devoted husband, father, brother, grandfather, and friend. Dick was often described as positive, optimistic, and loyal. </p><p><br></p><p>He will be missed by many but his family clings to the living hope of eternity through the resurrection of Jesus.
