Leona “Lee” Reedy Beck, of Evansville, passed away Friday, March 29, 2024 at Hamilton Pointe. She was born June 1, 1929 in Clintwood, Virginia to the late Charles C. and Jane (Bise) Reedy.

Lee graduated from St. Mary’s School of Nursing. She worked as an instructor at the school, as well as, Director of Nursing at Parkview Care Center. Lee was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and St. Mary’s School of Nursing Alumni and she was a past President for the Council of Catholic Nurses.

She is survived by her son, John Joseph Beck, Jr.; grandchildren, Nicole Rhea, Candice Lee and John Joseph David Beck; and nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Lee was preceded in death by her husband, John J. Beck, Sr.; and brothers and sisters.

Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 3, 2024 at Ziemer Funeral Home Central Chapel, 626 First Ave., Evansville. Funeral service will begin at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Father Lowell Will officiating.

Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery.
