<p>Louise Margaret (Lopes) DePaola passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 27, 2024 with loving family by her side. </p><p><br></p><p>Louise was born August 27, 1933 in Newark, NJ. Louise grew up in Newark with her beloved parents, Joseph and Louise Lopes, and two sisters, Emily and Joan. After graduating from Good Council High School, Louise worked as a secretary until she married and started a family. </p><p><br></p><p>Louise married John Francis DePaola in 1960 and settled in Roselle Park, NJ. Louise and John went on to have five children, Theresa, Patricia, John, James, and Mary. </p><p><br></p><p>As a faithful, life-long Catholic, Louise was a devoted member of the Church of the Assumption in Roselle Park. Louise was a member of the Rosary Society, a Eucharistic Minister, and a committed participant in many functions of the church. </p><p><br></p><p>Louise was predeceased by her parents and sister, Emily, and her husband John, who died on September 10, 2007.</p><p><br></p><p>Louise is survived by her five children, eight grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.</p><p><br></p><p>Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 2, 2024 from 5-8 pm at Mastapeter Funeral Home, 400 Faitoute Avenue, Roselle Park, NJ. Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, April 3, 2024 at 10:00 am at Church of the Assumption, 113 Coolidge Place, Roselle Park, NJ. Entombment will take place at St. Gertrude Cemetery &amp; Mausoleum, 53 Inman Avenue, Colonia, NJ. </p><p><br></p><p><br></p>

Louise Margaret (Lopes) DePaola passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 27, 2024 with loving family by her side.


Louise was born August 27, 1933 in Newark, NJ. Louise grew up in Newark with her beloved parents, Joseph and Louise Lopes, and two sisters, Emily and Joan. After graduating from Good Council High School, Louise worked as a secretary until she married and started a family.
