Glenda Marie Davis Miller,82, of Huntsville, Al passed away on Tuesday, March 28, 2024.

Glenda Marie Davis Miller was born September 16, 1941, in Tulare, CA (Tulare County), a daughter of Murry Eugene Davis and Veda Atkins Davis. Glenda received a bachelor’s degree in education from Peabody College-Vanderbilt University.

Glenda devoted over 40 years of her life to teaching elementary students in several school districts: ending her teaching career at Ridgecrest Elementary in Huntsville, Al. She lovingly nurtured the growth and development of generations of students and her fellow educators.

For 23 years, Mrs. Miller was a volunteer at the National Children’s Advocacy Center; she and her husband also worked many years as poll workers.

She was a longtime member of First Presbyterian Church in Huntsville, AL.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Murry Eugene Davis and Veda Atkins Davis; brother, Murry Duane Davis; and infant daughter, Cynthia Margaret Miller.

She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Thomas Wayne Miller; daughter, Cheryl Miller Stephens (David); son, Ryan Thomas Miller (Melissa); three grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the National Children's Advocacy Center.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, April 1, 2024, at Maple Hill Cemetery. Family and friends are welcome to attend.
