Bruce Harvey Belyea, 71, of Huntsville, AL was born March 20, 1953, at Jax Naval Air Station in Jacksonville, FL and passed away at Hospice Family Care Wednesday evening, March 27, 2024. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harvey and Shirley Belyea, and his wife, Teresa Belyea in 2021. He is survived by his sister, Barbara Belyea; his children, Brooke Sahin, Bridgett Walker, and Britt Belyea; and his grandchildren, Atesh and Deniz Sahin.

After obtaining a business degree and graduating from Alabama A&M, he gained employment at Wyle Labs, now NTS, as a test technician, where he worked for 41 years before retiring in 2019. Outside of work, Bruce enjoyed sharing good food, especially barbecue, with his family and friends.

In his youth, he played golf and managed the greens at Valley Hill Country Club. He played golf and swam for Grissom High School, where he was a member of the first graduating class in 1971. He played recreational softball and volleyball through adult leagues as a young adult. As a father to his daughters, he focused his athletic efforts into coaching their soccer teams and working to maintain the local community swimming pool. While he was less active after his health was affected by Covid, he spent the last couple of years reminiscing and regaling his family with stories from his life, including the fast cars he drove and the early dates with his wife, Teresa.

Visitation will be from 5:30 pm-8:00 pm Friday, March 29th at Laughlin Service Funeral Home. There will be a graveside service Saturday, March 30th at 2:00 pm at Maple Hill Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Forgotten Felines.
