BEE-Jerolene Howard, age 78 passed away Wednesday, March 27, 2024 at Heritage Hall in Clintwood, Virginia. Born in Dickenson County she was a daughter of the late Arthur and Edna Deel Gilbert. She was of the primitive Baptist Faith and was last employed as a supervisor at VT Dining Hall.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Juanita Rasnick and Linda Justice, four brothers, Danny, Dexter, Sammy and Melvin Gilbert.

Survivors include two sisters, Mary Lou (Jim) Duty, Bee, Virginia, Beatrice Winters, Christiansburg, Virginia, one brother, Carl (Linda) Gilbert, Bee, Virginia, sister-in-law, Janie Gilbert, brother-in-law, Clayton Justice, friend and ex-husband, Frank Howard, several nieces, nephews and in-laws and special friend, Debbie.

Funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m., Saturday, March 30, 2024 at Haysi Funeral Home with Elders, Barrett McGlothlin, Garnell Gilbert, Roger Fuller and Noah Kim Edwards officiating. Burial will follow in the Johnson Cemetery, Steves Branch, Bee, Virginia. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends after 6:00 p.m. on Friday, March 29, 2024 at the funeral home where an evening service will be held at 7:00 p.m.
