SERRA, BARBARA R, of Somers, CT, passed away on March 28, 2024, after a brief illness. Beloved wife of 64 years to the late Raymond Serra Sr. Loving mother of Raymond Serra Jr and his wife MaryAnn, Brenda Saya and her husband Jim, and the late Eric Serra. Cherished grandmother of Eric and Julia Serra and Colleen and Graham Saya. Barbara worked in the HR department at Pratt & Whitney for many years. Upon retirement, she enjoyed trips to the Metropolitan Opera House, reading, gardening and assembling puzzles. She was an avid follower of UCONN Women's basketball and was usually in the crowd routing for the team at home games. She was also an avid animal lover and enjoyed birdwatching. A private burial will be held in the Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Springfield, MA.
