<p>Daniel L. Gutierrez, 83, of Fairfax, VA, passed away at Inova Fairfax Hospital on Sunday, March 24, 2024. Born in Bressler, PA, he was the son of the late Traneuleno and Alfreda (Reed) Gutierrez. He was the loving husband of the late Wanda Gutierrez.</p><p><br></p><p>Daniel proudly served in the US Marine Corps from 1958-1962. He later donated to many veteran philanthropies. He was a devoted Catholic and was a member of Our Lady of Angels in Woodbridge, VA and Saint Leo the Great Catholic Church in Fairfax. He enjoyed tending to his yard and planting flowers and loved spending time with his family.</p><p><br></p><p>Daniel is survived by his sons David Mitchell Gutierrez and his wife Susan Lynn, and Christopher John Gutierrez; his grandson Daniel Gutierrez; and his brother Philip Perry Gutierrez and his wife Carolyn Jean. In addition to his wife and parents, he is preceded in death by a brother, Stanly Gutierrez. </p><p><br></p><p>A Funeral Service will take place at Wiedeman Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 357 S Harrisburg Street, Oberlin, PA, 17113 on Saturday, March 30, 2024 at 10:30 AM, with Rev. Steven Arena officiating. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. A Viewing will be held at the Funeral Home on Saturday from 9:30 AM-10:30 AM. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Heart Association at www.heart.org http://www.heart.org.</p>
