James R. Wahl of Arcade, NY and formerly of Java Center, passed away on Tuesday, March 26, 2024 at Mercy Hospital in Buffalo at the age of 86.

He was born on February 1, 1938 in Buffalo, NY and was a son of the late Robert and Mary (Campbell) Wahl. He was an active member of Pioneer Christian Fellowship in Arcade and was a good family man. He also enjoyed the outdoors, home renovations and going for walks.

He was an electric foreman for Bethlehem Steel in Lackawanna.

He is survived by his children: Kenneth Wahl, David Wahl, Colleen (Robert) Hamblin, James (Debbie) Wahl and Mary Wahl; his wife, Lorraine Wahl; his siblings: Thomas (Peggy) Wahl and Kathleen Wahl; also survived by 11 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Maryann Pitt.

Friends may call on Friday, April 12, 2024 from 12pm-2pm at Pioneer Christian Fellowship, 303 Rt. 39, Arcade where a Memorial Service will immediately follow at 2pm with Pastor Jeff Hokenson officiating. Final interment will be held at the Holy Cross Cemetery in Lackawanna at the convenience of the family.
