Leonie Marie (Vallois) Moses, aged 87, died on March 23, 2024, in Tucson, Arizona. She was the youngest child of Joseph Vallois and Alma (Gauthier) Vallois. Leonie was married to John W. Moses until his death in 2004. In the years that followed, she was the loving companion of Eddie Cunningham. She was born in Florida, grew up in Pelham, New Hampshire and Lowell, Massachusetts, and was a long-term resident of Dracut, Massachusetts. She is survived by her six children; Jane Moses (estranged from Robert McAdoo), James Moses, Joseph Moses (Barbie Moses), Judy Moses (Betty Stauffer), Joann Provost, and Jeffrey Moses (Kim Molway Cawthron). She was also survived by twelve grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her grandson Kevin Chandonnet and her son-in-law Jon Provost.

Leonie was best known for her sense of humor and was always joking around, making her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren laugh. She also saw the positive side of life, and was easygoing, and made the best of things. She was health conscious and walked regularly, even close to the time before her death. She encouraged everyone to have healthy lifestyles as well. She loved to garden, taking great enjoyment in the things she grew. She loved singing and was in a choir at a point in her life. She also made it a priority to have special individual time with her extended family members. She was a voracious reader and went through books faster than her family could provide them, and happily became a library user.

She loved us all with all of her heart and will be missed terribly.

Her visiting hours will be held Friday, March 29th from 5pm to 7pm at the DRACUT FUNERAL HOME, 2159 Lakeview Avenue, DRACUT. Her funeral will be celebrated at 10am at St. Marguerite D’Youville, 1340 Lakeview Ave., DRACUT. Interment will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, CHELMSFORD.
