Mr. William Phillip Broughman, age 64, of Covington, died Tuesday, March 26, 2024 at LewisGale Medical Center, Salem.

Mr. Broughman was born November 1, 1959 in France, the son of the late Matthew Henry Broughman and Nicole Pellegrini Broughman. A resident of this area for most of his life, he was employed as an electrician by Total Plant Maintenance. William attended Mt. Carmel and Good News Church on Main. In his spare time, he enjoyed playing music, riding motorcycles and was a member of the Christian Motorcycle Association. William enjoyed spending time with his family and was well known for looking out for and protecting the people he loved.

Mr. Broughman is survived by two daughters, Heather Broughman of Brentwood, TN and Bethany Hagy and husband, Josh of Clifton Forge; a granddaughter, Elliana Hagy; the mother of his children, Susie Broughman; a special cousin, Billy Broughman; and several aunts and uncles.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Broughman was preceded in death by a special cousin, J.B. Broughman.

A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, March 30, 2024, from the chapel of Loving Funeral Home with Rev. Buddy Burks officiating. Interment will follow in Bethel Church Cemetery, Eagle Rock, VA.

Pallbearers will be Billy Broughman, Gary Via, Chris Kelly, Mike Morris, Matt Hilmer, Gary Rickett and Bobby Daniel.

Honorary pallbearer will be Ray Thomas.
