<p>Bernard (Mike) Michael McAnally, age 79, passed away after a short illness on March 20, 2024. Mike was born in Stuttgart, Germany on May 11, 1944. His parents were Martha Bullinger and Robert McAnally. Dearly beloved husband of Stephanie McAnally, much loved Father of Mark McAnally, much loved Stepfather of Kathy Matkovic, Joseph Matkovic, and much-loved father-in-law of Sara McAnally. Mike loved his wife, his son, daughter-in-law, extended family, and friends to the very end. Despite daily pain and challenges, he always showed care for others.&nbsp; </p><p>Mike joined the Navy shortly after graduating high school. He remained in the Navy for six years where he studied Electrical Engineering. While in the Navy, Mike enjoyed playing Chess. Shortly after his time in the Navy, Mike started a career that would last 33 years working for the FAA in Flint, MI and Lansing, MI as a Radar Technician. Two years before retirement, Mike met the love of his life, Stephanie, while online. It was during this time that Mike started traveling back and forth to Australia to see Stephanie. In May of 1999, Mike retired from a job that he enjoyed dearly and married Stephanie. They continued traveling together and created many memories for everyone to remember him by. </p><p>Mike loved his family and was the kindest man we ever knew and when he couldn't always express his feelings, his actions spoke more than words ever could. He always assisted his son whenever he could and showed his love always. He was the finest man we ever knew. May Mike Rest in Peace.&nbsp; </p><p>Mike was proceeded in death by his mother, Martha Atwell; his stepfather, Luther Atwell; his son, Michael McAnally; his ex-wife, Holly McAnally.&nbsp; </p><p>Always Loved, Never Forgotten, Forever Missed. </p><p>Services to be held by the family privately at this time, more information to come at a later date.&nbsp;<br> &nbsp;<br> The McAnally Family have entrusted their loved one to the care of the Alamogordo Funeral Home. Cremation has taken place at PCS. </p><p>&nbsp; </p>
