Gloria Mae Williams Obituary

Gloria was born on October 17, 1937 in Joplin to Earl Crittenden Halliwell and Cecil DeMasters Halliwell. She married Richard Lee Williams on October 12, 1956.


Gloria, for most of her adult life, was a bookkeeper at Wadler Manufacturing/ Oasis Car Wash Systems until retiring. She enjoyed knitting blankets for all of her grandchildren, ceramics, crossword puzzles, shopping, watching game shows, and supporting her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren in their many activities. Gloria's greatest accomplishment in life was the family she and Richard created. She loved her family over anything else.


Gloria is survived by a son, Rick Williams and wife Penny, of Carl Junction; a daughter, Karen Wilkins and husband Ted, of Carl Junction; and a son, Doug Williams and wife Diane, of Battlefield. She was the grandmother to 7 granddaughters; Heather Edwards and husband Tommy, of Riverton, Amanda Walker and husband Michael, of Carl Junction, Autumn Stogner and husband John, of Battlefield, Ashley Tate and husband Randy, of Nixa, Stefanie Wilson and husband Tim, of Carl Junction, Kelsey Norwood and wife Natalie, of Carthage and Kaitlin Riner and husband Ben, of Carthage and 2 grandsons; Derick Williams and wife Leslie, of Carl Junction and Tyler Williams and wife Cheyenne, of Bend, OR. Also surviving are her great-grandchildren: Courtney and Shelby Edwards, Logan Edwards and wife Ally, Ryken and Ravyn Williams, Jillian and Annabelle Shrum, Brenleigh and Dylan Walker, Maelee and Blakely Wilson, Iris Norwood, Austin and Isabelle Tate, Lincoln and Lawsen Stogner and Forest Williams and another great-granddaughter on the way; and her great-great-grandchildren: Cale Goodman, Cash Mallory, and Layla, Lydia, and Leah Edwards. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.


Gloria is preceded in death by her husband Richard Williams, her parents, four brothers, and life-long friends Riley and Deanie Case.


Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, April 3, 2024 at Parker Mortuary; Pastor, Dan Toney will officiate. Burial will follow at Ozark Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m., on Tuesday, April 2, 2024 at Parker Mortuary.
