Tonya Renee Mills

Tonya Renee Mills, of Cambridge City passed away peacefully on Friday March 21, 2024, at Reid Richmond, at the age of 55. She was born on November 11, 1968, the daughter of Dennis Moore and the late Lola Gray Cole.

Tonya was a 1987 graduate of Lincoln High School in Cambridge City. In Gray Hawk, Kentucky, on November 2, 1991, Tonya married the love of her life Larry Mills. They shared 32 years of marriage prior to her passing.

Tonya was employed in the manufacturing industry. She dedicated 15 years at Meg, a factory in Cambridge City. She was later worked at Boars Head in New Castle, IN until her health prohibited her from working.

Tonya was a very active member at Milton Christian Church, and she loved volunteering her time to the children. Tonya was a lifetime softball player, her love for the game began at a young age and lasted well into her adult life. She enjoyed relaxing with her husband while they cast a fishing line. She was also an avid NASCAR fan that was not to be disturbed while the event took place. Tonya was a simple minded woman that had a heart of gold, she will be dearly missed.

Along with her husband, Larry, she is survived by a bonus sister, Michelle (David) Grimes, a bonus brother, Billy (Marie) Shory, a cousin and best friend, Frances Yoder, and her lifelong best friend Becki (Mitch) Miller. She will be greatly missed by several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Gigi’s memories will be cherished forever by her god-child Austin Moore and his children.

Tonya was preceded in death by her mother, her in-laws Sue and Ray Grimes, her bonus mother Joyce Moore and her bonus father Raymond Cole.

Friends and Family may visit Urban Winkler Funeral Home, 513 W 8th Street Connersville, IN, on Wednesday March 27, 2024, from 12:00PM to 2:00PM. The funeral services will begin at 2:00PM. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery in Cambridge City.
