In Loving Memory of Dena Schwochert
Dena Schwochert, beloved wife, mother, daughter, and friend, sadly passed away on March 27, 2024, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was surrounded by her loving family, who cherished her deeply.
Born to Mary and Alfred Meyer, Dena was a beacon of light in their lives from the very beginning. She grew up to be an incredibly hardworking and selfless individual, always putting the needs of others before her own. Dena's dedication to her family and friends was unwavering, and she found true joy in being surrounded by their love and support.
Dena met the love of her life, Jim, during Fourth of July celebrations with their children and families. From that moment on, they were inseparable, sharing a bond that only grew stronger with time. Their love transcended mere companionship; they became each other's confidants, partners, and best friends. Their connection was so profound that they even worked together, further cementing their relationship in both personal and professional endeavors.
Dena's passing was preceded by her parents, Mary and Alfred, and her older sister, Diane. Her mother and father in-law Dan and Nancy Schwochert. And sister in-law Loree Neumann. She is survived by her other siblings, brother-in-law, Paul Flitz, Donna Commerford (Don), Gary Meyer (Chris), and Denise Pagelsdorf (Steve), and her dear niece Laurie Romasko (Jay), Jeff Schwochert (Monique) Kurt Neumann (Christine) and other cherished nieces and nephews who will deeply mourn her loss.
Dena is further survived by her devoted husband, Jim Schwochert, who stood by her side through thick and thin. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and countless cherished memories. Dena's legacy lives on through her children: Brandon Goelz, his wife Amanda, and their two children, Brayden and Grayson; Shayne Goelz; and Bailey Schwochert and her fiancé Dan Wood. She was a source of strength and inspiration to them, and her love will continue to guide them through life's journey.
Those who had the privilege of knowing Dena will always remember her kindness, generosity, and infectious smile. She touched the hearts of all who crossed her path and leaves behind a legacy of love that will endure for generations to come.
In honoring Dena's memory, let us carry forward her spirit of compassion and selflessness, spreading warmth and joy to those around us, just as she did throughout her remarkable life.
Rest in peace, Dena. You will be forever missed and eternally loved.
