<p>Anna G. Dunning, 94, of Waverly passed away on Wednesday, March 27, 2024 at Elderwood Care in Waverly.</p><p>She was predeceased by her parents, Michael and Helen VanHorn Murray; her son, Ronald Blakeman; her daughter, Jennie Cofield; her sister, Phyllis Cochi; and her brothers, Robert Murray and Joseph Murray; and her long time partner, Roy Brittain.</p><p>Ann is survived by her children, Wayne Blakeman of Lockwood, Ann Marie Stedge of Waverly, Octive (David) Healey of Winter Springs, FL and Jodi (Steve) Austin of Spring Hill, FL; her daughter-in-law, Garnet Blakeman of Schertz, TX; her grandchildren, Shawn Blakeman, Karen Blakeman, AJ Blakeman, Elizabeth Blakeman, Cheryl Mitchan, Brian Blakeman, Chris Blakeman, Stacy Beers, Steve Capwell, Jenna Stedge, Amy Rice, Brad Austin and Cassidy Austin; along with several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.</p><p>Ann was born in Waverly, New York and graduated from Waverly High School in the Class of 1947. She worked for several local restaurants, including Iron Kettle and O’Briens Inn before owning and operating Ann’s Coffee Shop on Broad Street in Waverly for over 30 years, retiring in 1995. After retiring she worked at State Line Auto Auction in the cafeteria for many years. Ann enjoyed spending time with her family, cooking, working in the flower garden, puzzles and golfing. She enjoyed traveling with Roy and her many trips to Aruba with her good friend, Diane Moore. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and attended the Waverly United Methodist Church.</p><p>A time of calling will be held on Thursday, April 4, 2024 from 12 to 2 at the Blauvelt Funeral Home, 625 Broad Street, Waverly, New York. A memorial service to honor Ann’s life will be held on Thursday April, 4, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Blauvelt Funeral Home, 625 Broad Street, Waverly, New York with Rev. Anne Bey Canfield officiating and burial to follow at Tioga Point Cemetery in Athens, PA.
