It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Una Belle Skinner on Monday, March 25th, 2024 at the Connaigre Peninsula Health Care, age 84 years, of Harbour Breton.

Una leaves to mourn her loving family: daughters, Phoebe (Curt Rose) at Boxey, NL. and Sheri Skinner (Craig Grandy) at Harbour Breton; sons, Walter Skinner (Jr.) (Wanda) and Andy (Treena), all at Harbour Breton; daughter in law, Marie Skinner at Harbour Breton; special niece, Karen Osbourne at Harbour Breton; eleven grandchildren and six great grandchildren; sisters, Amy Banfield (Ben), Esther Hunt (Raymond), Ann Osbourne, all at Nova Scotia and Glenda Williams (Dave) at Pool’s Cove; sister in law, Geraldine Osbourne at Harbour Breton; brothers, William Osbourne (Cathy), Charles Osbourne (Debbie), John Osbourne (Shelley), all at Nova Scotia and Aubrey Osbourne (Marie) at St. Jacques; special home care support workers, Shirley Rose and Sharon Stone, both at Harbour Breton; as well as a large circle of other relatives and friends.

Una was predeceased by her husband, Walter Skinner; sons, Wade Skinner and Terry Skinner; sisters, Elizabeth Yarn, Joan Poole and Ethel Tibbo; brothers, Walter Osbourne, Thomas Osbourne and Archibald Osbourne.

Visitations took place on Wednesday, March 27 at Spencer’s Funeral Home, Harbour Breton from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm.

Funeral Service was held on Thursday, March 28, 2024 at 11:00 am at St. Bartholomew’s Church, Harbour Breton with Rev. Jonathan Durdle officiating.

Inurnment will be held at a later date.
