Travis Leon Traylor Obituary

Travis Leon Traylor was born on October 18, 1954 to the late Lorice Young Traylor and Herbert Traylor in Naples,

Texas. Travis gave his life to Christ at an early age at Cottrell Chapel CME Church, currently, the Norris S Curry

CME Church in Naples, Texas. As a member of the church, Travis song in the choir. He graduated from Paul H.

Pewitt High School, Omaha, Texas. As a student in high school, Travis was in the band and played the trumpet and

trombone instruments. After high school, he attended Prairie View A&M University, majoring in Engineering for

four years. At the university, Travis was a member of Alpha Phi Alpha. During his last year at college he was

awarded “Player of the Year” as well as “Most Handsome” as listed in the yearbooks.Travis married his college

girlfriend and to that union one son was born. After college he worked as a manager for various companies. His

love for people was far and near. As a manager he helped people in need through providing jobs and assistance in

any way he could.

He is preceded in death by his mother Lorice Young Traylor and his father, Herbert Traylor, his brother Herbert

Wayne Traylor, his grandparents, Emma Betts Young and Douglas Young, Jessie Roney Traylor and Cancer Traylor,

and a host of other relatives.Travis is survived by eight children, five sons and three daughters. Sons: Tremayne

Dion Traylor (ChrishaTraylor), Terence Leon Traylor, and Travis Leon Traylor II of Dallas, Texas. Ta’Ron Dion

Traylor, and Trevor Deon Dawson of Monroe, Louisiana. Daughters: Kristi Lynette Howard of Naples, Texas,

Alexus Sharnay Bethley(Donzell Bethley) and Axilea Renee Traylor of Monroe, Louisiana, with six grandchildren

and three great-grandchildren. Siblings: Danny Traylor of Texarkana, Texas, Bobbie Campbell (Johnny Campbell)

of Pearland, Texas, Loretta Gail Moaleu (Christhope Moaleu) of Allen, Texas, Sherrel Hollis of Dallas, Texas, and

Deniece Rainey of DeSoto, Texas; a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and relatives.
