<p>Francis Leroy Engeman, Jr.</p><p><br></p><p>Leroy Engeman, 73, of Troy, KS, passed away at home surrounded by his family.</p><p><br></p><p>Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am on Wednesday, April 3rd, 2024, at the Becker-Dyer-Stanton Funeral Home with Chaplain Andy Campbell officiating. Burial will follow in the Sunset Memory Gardens, Atchison, KS. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00pm on Tuesday, April 2, 2024, at the Becker-Dyer-Stanton Funeral Home. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Kansas City Hope Lodge and may be sent in care of the funeral home. Condolences to the family maybe left online at www.beckerdyer.com.</p><p><br></p><p>Leroy was born on June 27, 1950, in Atchison, KS, the son of Francis L. and Leveta (Handke) Engeman, SR. He graduated from Atchison High School in 1968 and attended Northeast Kansas Area Vo-technical School and earned a Certified Welders Certificate. Leroy worked as a certified welder for WE-MAC Mfg. Atchison, KS from 1971-2019. He was a member of the First Christian Church, Atchison, KS, the Missouri Mule Club, and enjoyed going on mule rides, coon hunting and fishing. </p><p><br></p><p>He was married to Peggy Lewman on December 19, 1969. She survives of the home in Troy, KS. Additional survivors include a son Michael (Sandy) Engeman, Spring Hill, KS, three grandchildren Caleb (Miranda) Engeman, Rachel and Lily Engeman. His parents, and brother Ferol Engeman preceded him in death.</p><p><br></p>
