<p>Juanita J. Smith was born March 9th, 1945, in Janesville, Wisconsin. &nbsp;She was the youngest of seven children. &nbsp;In 1951 she and her family moved to Washington State. </p><p>Juanita passed away peacefully at home on March 15th, 2024, at the age of 79, two of her daughters were by her side. </p><p>She is survived by her brother, Robert Smith of Oregon; son, James Hartsell, Jr. of Iowa; daughters, Jenise (Justin) of Oregon, Jenette Hartsell of Nevada, Joyce Hartsell of Iowa and Josephine Totten of New Mexico. &nbsp;Juanita has 13 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren as well as numerous nephews, nieces and many friends she had made throughout her life, including her friends she made in Germany. </p><p>Per Juanita's request there will be no services held. &nbsp;In lieu of flowers please make a donation to a meaningful cause in her name. </p><p>Juanita will be laid to rest at Monte Vista Cemetery in the city of Alamogordo, New Mexico, section M, lot 22, plot 4. </p><p>The family has entrusted their loved one to the care of Alamogordo Funeral Home.<br> &nbsp; </p>
