It is with great sadness that we would like to announce the passing of Pamela Lynn (Swaim) Gordon of Independence, IA. Pamela took her final breath on March 22, 2024 at St. Luke’s hospital in Cedar Rapids, IA. She was born August 21, 1964 in Lemoore, California to Paul and Marguerite (Pocock) Swaim. Pamela graduated from Lemoore High School in 1982, then lived in California and Arizona before settling in Iowa in 2002. She married Scott Raymond Gordon of Westgate, IA on June 9, 2002 in Westgate, IA and they made their home in Independence, IA for the rest of their years. She was widowed on December 17, 2017.

Pamela was a proud member of Living Water Church in Independence, Iowa. She worked as a medical assistant for many years and most recently was providing in-home services through a local community living agency. She enjoyed watching youth sports, spending time outside, and crafting.

Pamela was preceded in death by her parents and husband. She is survived by three brothers, all of Lemoore, CA; several nieces and nephews; a stepdaughter, Celia (Dustin) Even of Jesup, IA; two step grandsons; and a significant other, Robert McGee of Lemoore, CA.

A celebration of life service will be held on Sunday, April 28, 2024 at 10:30am at Living Water Church, Independence, IA.
