David Joseph Rowland, Jr. was born on May 6, 1992 in Pine Ridge, SD to David Rowland, Sr. and Ramona American Horse. David, Jr. made his journey to the Spirit World on March 24, 2024 in Rapid City, SD.


David is survived by his mother, Ramona American Horse-Rowland; daughters, Leshea, Miley, and Nadalin Rowland; sons, Davien, Northern, Davey, and Mason Rowland; adopted son, Demetrius Bagola; significant other, Denitra Bagola; sisters, Rena (Duane) Waters and Jennifer Little Bear; grandfathers, Joe American Horse and Dave American Horse; hunka mothers, Dorothy Sun Bear and Denise Fast Wolf; nephews, Glorian Black Bear, Hoksila Luta Rowland, and Emilio Perea; nieces, Cante Skuya Ashliegh & Mary Shot To Pieces; and numerous cousins, nieces, & nephews.


David was preceded in death by his father, David Rowland, Sr.; sisters, Ashley Dawn Rowland and Emily Joyce Rowland-Black Bear; maternal grandparents, Emmett American Horse and Ellan Reno (White Face) American Horse; and paternal grandparents, Clarence Rowland and Cleon Ice.


Pallbearers will be Patrick Rowland, Jr., Lawrence Shott, Jr., Casey Red Cloud, Virgil Lefthand, Jr., Jess Sun Bear, Ashton Shot To Pieces, Forrest American Horse, Terry Two Bulls, and Duron White Face.
