Gertrude G Chambers 92 of Elkview passed away on March 21 at Hubbard Hospice House after a short illness.

Gertrude was born in Charleston, WV June 28, 1931. She was preceded in death by her husband W.W."Bill" Chambers Sr., son Allan Chambers, parents Leo and Mary McCown, twin sister Greta Boley and sister Margie Robinette.

Gertrude is survived by children W.W. "Bill" Jr. (Lynn), Sandra Engle. Grandchildren Tiffany (Barry) Sowards, Matthew Chambers and Katie (Shane) Light. Daughter-in-law Donna Kay May, three great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.

Gertrude was an avid gardner, and was most happy attending to her flowers and plants. She was very creative and enjoyed many hobbies. She also had a love of animals, especially cats.
