<p>Janet Elaine Karns, 95, of Franklin passed away on March 26, 2024 at The Caring Place.</p><p><br></p><p>Born on October 25, 1928 in Oil City, PA, she was the daughter of the late John Perry and Edith (Verner) Moore. </p><p>She was the last surviving sibling of 11.</p><p><br></p><p>She was married to Ralph Karns and he preceded her in death in 1994.</p><p><br></p><p>Janet enjoyed reading, cooking and baking and was known as "The Cookie Lady".</p><p><br></p><p>Left to cherish her memory are her children Nathan Moore of Plant City, FL, Sherry Duplichain of Pearl, MS, and Debra and Delora Karns both of Bradleytown; her 10 grandchildren; her 20 great-grandchildren; and her 14 great-great-grandchildren.</p><p><br></p><p>In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Sandra Zinz; her great granddaughter; her 2 great-great grandchildren; her great nephew-in-law; and her 10 siblings.</p><p><br></p><p>Family and friends are invited to the Gardinier-Warren Funeral Home, Inc., 1315 Chestnut Street, Franklin on Friday, March 29, 2024 from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm with the funeral service being held the same day at the funeral home at 2:00 pm with Retired Rev. Joseph P. Martin, Jr. officiating.</p><p><br></p><p>Janet will be laid to rest at Cooperstown Cemetery.</p><p><br></p><p>In lieu of flowers, the family asks memorial contributions be made in Janet's name to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.</p><p><br></p><p>Please take a moment to share a memory or condolence with the family on Janet’s book of memories online at www.WarrenFH.com.</p>
