John Thompson Jr, 77, of Brockton passed away peacefully surrounded by family on March 22nd, 2024.

John is preceded in death by his parents, Bloomer Bernice Thompson and John Thompson Sr. and brothers Friendly, Leroy and Thomas Thompson.

He is survived by his 6 children: Elizabeth Ann Thompson, John Thompson III, Johntea Thompson, John Marquise Thompson, Kameron Thompson & Twana D. Moses, his 12 grandchildren, his partner Mary Wilson, stepchildren, 2 nieces, 2 nephews and his sister-in-law along with numerous other friends and family.

John was born on May 11th, 1946 in Manning, South Carolina where he was raised as the youngest of 4 boys. He moved to Boston, Massachusetts in 1963 and from there he began driving trucks for 10 years and then went on to work as a bus driver for 28 years. John had a love for traveling across America, gaining new experiences and meeting new people - many of which would became close friends to him. John was an amazing father, man and all around humbled human who left an impact on whoever was gracious enough to meet him. He will be missed by so many and loved by all.

John's final resting place will be in Manning South Carolina.
