<p>Jack Lewis Davis, Jr., age 66 of Carthage, Missouri, passed peacefully at Mercy Hospital in Joplin on Friday, March 22, 2024, following an extended illness. Jack was born on February 1, 1958 in Mobile, Alabama to Jack L. Davis, Sr. and Josephine (Ely) Davis Waterford.</p><p><br></p><p>Jack grew up in the Chicago-Heights, Illinois and graduated high school from his home town. After graduation, Jack went to serve our country in the U.S. Army. He worked as a packer in manufacturing prior to retiring due to health issues. Jack was a member of Shilo Baptist Church in Joplin.</p><p><br></p><p>Surviving Jack include his mother, Josephine Waterford; children, Jermane Kelly-Waterford of Joplin and Tameka Jameson of Chicago-Heights; brothers, Ken King of Huntsville, AL and Clinton Ford of Chicago-Heights; sister, Tracey Hopkins of Joplin; numerous grandchildren and extended family and friends.</p><p><br></p><p>Those preceded Jack in death include his father, Jack L. Davis, Sr. and brothers, D’Wayne and Perry Davis.</p><p><br></p><p>There are no services planned at this time. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary, Joplin, Missouri.</p><p><br></p>
