<p>Donald Lee Ward was born November 5, 1955, at Wilson, OK to the late Mr. LA Ward and Mrs. Doris Joy Ward. He departed this life March 24, 2024, in Ardmore at the age of 68 years, 4 months, and 19 days.</p><p><br></p><p>Donald was raised in Ardmore where he attended school through the 12th grade. He married the former Ms. Sharon (Hobson) Segler on May 16, 1974, at the 2nd Baptist Church in Millington, TN. Donald also had enlisted in the U.S. Navy and went to boot camp in San Diego, California on January 28, 1974, then was stationed in Millington, TN. The couple began their life together at Bermuda Island for three years where he was stationed later moving to Jacksonville, FL where he was aboard the USS Forrestal. They moved to Pensacola, FL then finally made their home in Ardmore, OK in 1982. Donald worked in the oilfield, in refineries and attended school to be a Computer Technician. He was employed by Ardmore Public Schools as a Computer Technician for 20 years. Donald enjoyed riding his motorcycle with Sharon, making many memories with her and their two children, Kimberly and Donald Jr.</p><p><br></p><p>Preceding him in death are his parents; brother, Dana Andrew Ward; grandson, Tristan.</p><p><br></p><p>Survivors include his wife, Sharon Ward of the home; daughter, Kimberly Ford and husband Todd of Bonham, TX; son, Donald Ward, Jr. and wife Janet of Ardmore; brother, Verlin Ward and wife Kathy of Lone Grove; nephews, Matthew Ward and Cory Ward; seven grandchildren and one great grandchild; numerous other family and friends.</p><p><br></p><p>Donald’s family will be having a Memorial Service at the Trinity Baptist Church in Ardmore on April 6, 2024, with Jimmy May officiating. </p><p><br></p><p> Cremation Services will be under the care and direction of Alexander Gray Crematory.</p><p><br></p>Obituary
