<p>John Henry Hill the 3rd, 86, of Watertown entered into eternal rest at his home while surrounded in the love of his family on Sunday March 24, 2024.&nbsp; John is the beloved husband of Kathleen (Murphy) Hill for more than 59 blessed years and the wonderful father of his daughters Robin Soares and Pamela Trent.&nbsp; Born January 21, 1938 in Milton, NY, he was the son of the late John H. Hill II and Sarah E. Walker.&nbsp; </p><p>John proudly served his country in the US Marine Corp. earning the rank of Corporal.&nbsp; His military precision, methodical nature and determination served him well throughout his life.&nbsp; Never one to remain idle, after his tenure at Century Brass he went back to school to earn further certification in refrigeration and air conditioning.&nbsp; He worked many more years as a technician for the State of CT at Mattatuck Community College. </p><p>John was a devoted husband, loving father and doting grandfather.&nbsp; His family meant everything to him. They enjoyed vacationing together, playing board games, Scrabble and just being together.&nbsp; John was a “Mr. Fix It” and could be counted on to apply his knowledge and determination to any project.&nbsp; He created many gifts of handmade woodworking crafts such as consoles and cabinets for family; all of which will always remain as treasures. </p><p>Left to honor and cherish his love and memory beside his loving wife Kathleen are his treasured daughter Robin Soares of Watertown and Pamela Trent of Waterbury as well as his doting grandchildren Alfred Jones II of Va., Sabrina Soares and Dante Troccolla of Watertown and Joshua Trent of Wa. and his beloved sisters Myrtle Jones of NY and Mary Canady of Va. &nbsp;John also leaves several nieces and nephews, cousins and friends. </p><p>John is predeceased by his sister Helen Hill and brothers Charles E. Hill and James E. Hill </p><p>Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 3, 2023 from 9am to 11am at Prospect Memorial/ The Palmerie Family Funeral Home, 122 Waterbury Rd., Prospect.&nbsp; Funeral services will begin at 11am at the funeral home with burial to immediately follow.&nbsp; In honor of John’s dedicated service to our country, he will be buried with military honors at State Veterans Cemetery, 317 Bow Lane, Middletown.&nbsp; Prospect Memorial/ The Palmerie Family Funeral Home is honored to be assisting the Hill family through this difficult time of grief.&nbsp; Please visit www.prospectmemorial.com to share your online condolences. </p>

John Henry Hill the 3rd, 86, of Watertown entered into eternal rest at his home while surrounded in the love of his family on Sunday March 24, 2024.  John is the beloved husband of Kathleen (Murphy) Hill for more than 59 blessed years and the wonderful father of his daughters Robin Soares and Pamela Trent.  Born January 21, 1938 in Milton, NY, he was the son of the late John H.
