Anthony Christopher Cirignano Obituary

Anthony “Tony” Cirignano went Home March 20, 2024 to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He passed at his mother and stepfather’s home in Kennewick, Washington where he was given the opportunity to say goodbye to his loved ones.


Tony was born September 1, 1962 to Gregory C and Elizabeth P. (Dolly) Cirignano (Anglemyer) in Akron, Ohio. Tony moved to the Tri-Cities in 1979 following his mother and siblings out west. Tony met his lifelong love in the Spring of 1974 in Akron, Ohio. And they were reunited after a separation of 12 years in 1992, then married September 10, 1994. Tony was a long haul truck driver leased to United Vanlines for 25 years then went to work at the Hanford Site first as a laborer then as a Teamster when he retired in 2010 due to health issues. The following 14 years he spent his days at home caring for his dogs, keeping the home fires burning and learning to cook amazing meals. He also volunteered with the food bank and for animal services as well as the Richland Players Theater. He loved dogs and people and was generous to a fault. He was always thinking of others.


He was preceded in death by his father Gregory C. Cirignano and beloved step-brother Todd A. DePoe. Tony is survived by his wife Jeanette E. Cirignano (Welch), his mother Elizabeth P. DePoe (Anglemyer), his stepfather Charles R. DePoe; Siblings; Anna Theresa Cirignano, Eugene J. Cirignano, Vincent P. Cirignano, Shawn O. Cirignano, Rosalie Cirignano, Regina M. Cirignano; as well as his step-brothers and sister, Mark (Anita) DePoe, J’anna (Chuck) Golombek, David (Donna) Rise. He is survived by his children; Andrea B. Smith, Nicholas A Cirignano, Christopher L. Cirignano and numerous nieces, nephews and grands, brother and sister of the heart Gordon Welch and Suzanne Darr


Viewing will be held on Saturday, March 30, 2024 at 10:30am at Mueller’ Tri-Cities Funeral Home, 1401 S Union. St. Kennewick, WA 99338
