Bobby Lindsay, a beloved figure in Kosciusko, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 24th, 2024, surrounded by his cherished family, after bravely facing complications from a heart attack at the age of 75.


Funeral services to honor and celebrate Bobby's remarkable life will be 11:00 am Friday, March 29, 2024 at Culpepper Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Parkway Cemetery. The visitation will be Thursday from 5 – 7 pm and from 9:00 am until 11:00 am Friday at Culpepper Funeral Home.


Born on September 7th, 1948, to Mildred Cain Lindsay and Percy Guyton Lindsay, Bobby leaves behind a legacy of love, dedication, and warmth.


Bobby is survived by his devoted wife, Betty Mims Lindsay, and their children Dodd Lindsay (Amy) and Ryan Lindsay (Sissy), who were the pride of his life. His grandchildren, Guyton, Shelby, Ethan, Dan, and Lauren brought him immeasurable joy and were a constant source of inspiration.


Bobby's journey began on the family farm alongside his father, where he cultivated crops of cotton and soybeans. In 1980, he ventured into the realm of residential and commercial construction, founding his own company. For 35 years, Bobby poured his heart and soul into building and remodeling homes and businesses, leaving an indelible mark on the community. His passion for service led him to a distinguished tenure as the county supervisor for Attala County Beat 1, where he served with integrity and compassion for eight years until his well-deserved retirement on December 31st.


Beyond his professional achievements, Bobby will be remembered for his infectious laughter, playful spirit, and unwavering kindness. He was the epitome of a devoted husband, sharing 53 years of unwavering love with Betty, and a pillar of strength and support as a father and grandfather. Bobby was a member of Jerusalem Baptist Church.


Bobby is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Dodd and Pearl Cain, his paternal grandparents Duff and Martha Lindsay, his beloved father, Guyton (1977), his dear mother, Mildred (2019), and his cherished sister, Donna (2007).


Although he has left this earthly realm, Bobby's spirit will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him.
